When she was 12 years old, Rosemary Low started to keep budgerigars. That was in the 1950s. Soon she progressed to keeping finches and parakeets. Not long after, parrots took over her life. She has never been without them in her own home and garden since that time. Author of more than 20 books on the subject and former curator of Leo Parque, Tenerife and Palmitos Park Gran Canaria, she has had 240 species of parrots in her care. She has an intense interest in parrot conservation and has lectured in a number of countries on this topic , also on nutrition and other parrot related subjects. Watching parrots in the wild, and especially seeing them feeding, is her greatest joy.
