Mite Treatment Spot On Anti Parasite - for large birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and rats.

Ivermectin Drops 1% 10ml.

For treatment of mites in larger cage birds (e.g. pigeons & parrots), and fur, ear and mange mites and lice in rabbits, Guinea pigs, ferrets and other small mammals (e.g. rats).

It is very cost effective, with enough product to provide a full course of treatment to a loft of 50 birds. Easy to apply with the dropper bottle nozzle and the 1% concentration means that a single drop will provide an effective dose for an adult pigeon. Beware of lower concentration presentations, where one drop may not be adequate to provide an effective treatment.

PHARMAQ Ivermectin Drops can also be used prophylactically to prevent reinfestation. To reduce the chance of mites/lice being introduced into your loft, it is advisable to treat any new birds that you introduce into your loft, or any birds that have been in close contact with other birds outside of your loft e.g. races or shows.

Dosage rate: one drop per 500g bodyweight per week between the shoulder blade for three weeks.

Ivermectin Spot On
15 February 2022  |

I recently discovered that one of my hens had a severe infestation of lice. She was lethargic, pale and weak on her legs. I found the lice crawling allover her and dusted her with Diatomaceous Earth powder but they were still there days after. In the meantime I had ordered Harkers Pigeon Spot on and applied this and although this was effective, it was tricky to apply accurately with the pipette supplied and I spilt most of it. I wanted to reapply in 7 days to break the cycle of the eggs hatching and needed to do all 8 birds, even though the others seemed OK. So I researched on several poultry sites and decided that the Ivermectin drops seemed the best option.
They were dispatched and arrived quickly and were easy to apply at a rate of 5 drops per bird. I used these for their second application and will apply a third and final dose, so 3 doses 7 days apart.
The poorly hen is up on her feet, her colour has improved and she seems fully recovered.
I have been throwing any eggs laid away and will continue to do this for 7 days after the final treatment.
I am delighted to have discovered this and will definitely use again and recommend it.
